School Policies

1. MATERIALS AND STAFF

1. Lesson materials used by Quantum Prep instructors and distributed to students remain the property of Quantum Prep. Reproduction or distribution with other parties is strictly prohibited without the prior written consent of Quantum Prep.
2. All lesson schedules, payment, and logistical issues should be directed to our front desk staff. Quantum Prep teachers are not responsible for scheduling or other non-academic matters. Parents and students are not encouraged to contact teachers directly outside of lesson hours. If you would like to contact one of our teachers or arrange a consultation to discuss lesson progress, please do so through the front desk staff or by emailing [email protected].
3. Full-time employees of Quantum Prep, teachers and counselors will, by default, provide educational services at Quantum Prep centers. However, if clients consent, full-time employees may serve clients online from other locations.

2. ENROLLMENT

1. Quantum Prep reserves the right to refuse the admission of any student who, in its opinion, is detrimental to the general welfare of the company.
2. Quantum Prep reserves the right to discontinue a student’s enrollment at any time for poor attendance, non-payment or underpayment of tuition, disruptive behavior, or any behavior that is disrupting school operations or other students’ learning.

3. LESSON RESERVATIONS AND BOOKINGS

1. Quantum Prep operates on a “first-come-first-served” and confirmation-by-payment policy in allocating teaching schedules and reserves the right to release any reserved lessons that have only been verbally confirmed or have passed confirmation deadlines. Full payment must be received prior to the indicated deadline in order for lessons to be confirmed. Should a student come to a lesson before payment, Quantum Prep reserves the right to preclude the student from attending the class.
2. Regular time slots will be reserved only for students booking 3 or more lessons in a given month with a single teacher.
3. All regular monthly lessons must be confirmed 10 days before the end of the previous month, with payment due 7 days before the end of the previous month of the bookings.
4. Students are encouraged to attend all enrolled sessions in order to keep up with the teaching progress and retain their regular reserved schedules. If a student misses or reschedules more than 30% of a regular monthly schedule, the reserved time slot may be released.

4. LESSON CANCELLATIONS AND RESCHEDULING

1. For lessons cancelled 14 days before the scheduled lessons, our team will work with the student to reschedule the lessons to a more convenient time or facilitate a refund for the cancellations.
2. For lessons cancelled more than 2 days but less than 14 days before the scheduled lessons, our team will work with the student to reschedule the lessons to a more convenient time but the client will not be entitled to a refund.
   1. However, if a tutor’s schedule is fully booked and, as such, has no available time slots for rescheduling, the student will forfeit all paid fees for the lesson.
   2. Furthermore, if none of the rescheduling options provided by Quantum Prep are suitable to the student, the student will forfeit all paid fees for the lesson.
   3. If a tutor’s schedule allows for rescheduling, the student must pick a day that is within 14 days of the cancelled lesson.
   4. Once a rescheduled lesson is confirmed, it cannot be rescheduled again. Students who miss the rescheduled lesson will forfeit the lesson fees.
   5. If none of the rescheduling options provided by Quantum Prep are suitable, the student will forfeit all paid fees for the lesson.
3. Quantum Prep does not offer rescheduling or refunds to lessons cancelled with fewer than 48 hours notice prior to the scheduled lesson time (unless in the case of a medical emergency, in which case a doctor’s note is required).
4. Final approval for all rescheduling and refunds is reserved by Quantum Prep Management.

5. ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITIONS

1. Quantum Prep’s offices will be closed when typhoon signal No. 8 or above or black rainstorm warning is hoisted. In-person classes will resume two hours after such warnings are lowered or removed. Otherwise, students will be offered online lessons at the originally scheduled lesson time in lieu of in-person classes.
2. At times, a typhoon may increase in intensity or a rainstorm signal is raised while students are at school. If this happens, Quantum Prep must dismiss students before the end of the regular class; parents will be contacted with the approximate dismissal time.
3. Lessons that are disrupted due to adverse weather conditions will not be refunded or rescheduled.
4. Lessons that are cancelled due to adverse weather conditions will be rescheduled within 24 hours by Quantum Prep.
5. Quantum Prep reserves the right to amend company policy and all terms and conditions without prior notice.
