Beyond the eight perfect scorers, the school reported ten more students on 44 points — meaning nearly a third of the cohort scored 44 or above. GSIS has operated at this altitude for years, with averages of 40-42 across the last decade.

What the GSIS setup means for university planning

GSIS's English stream runs IGCSE into the IB Diploma, and its university counselling calendar is built around Northern Hemisphere admissions — Oxbridge's mid-October UCAS deadline, US early rounds in November, and the main January deadlines. Families should plan backwards from those dates: admissions tests and interview preparation live in the autumn of the final year, and predicted grades issued earlier that term carry the application.
