Born and raised in Hong Kong, Emma graduated from German Swiss International School before pursuing a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degree in Psychology with first-class honours at University College London. There, she specialised in personality studies, leveraging Python and R to design experiments and conduct research in areas such as predicting personality traits and advertisement effectiveness through the analysis of consumer behaviours.
Upon graduation, Emma worked as a Data Scientist at Lloyds Banking Group London, applying machine learning and AI solutions to business problems in retail and commercial banking. Deriving most fulfilment when involved in teaching and mentorship through Women in Data and other such programs, Emma decided to transition into education full time, and seeks to empower students during the uncertain journey of university applications by tapping into their unique talents, passions, and goals to chart their individual paths to success.
