Born and raised in Hong Kong, Brendan completed his primary education in various international schools in Hong Kong before attending Shrewsbury School in the UK for five years where he obtained his GCSEs as well as A-Levels. He then obtained his undergraduate degree from Claremont McKenna College in the US where he studied Psychology, completing a thesis on the prevalence of learning differences across populations. Since graduating, Brendan has returned to Hong Kong where he has worked in the education industry as both a teacher and an admissions counsellor, while also volunteering at a mental health centre.
