STEM and Test Prep Tutor

Indrani Banerjee

Indrani was born in India, and grew up in Hong Kong studying in the ESF school system. She undertook IGCSEs and then the IB Diploma, before moving to the UK to pursue an undergraduate degree in Physics at the University of Edinburgh. After this, she gained her Master’s in Sustainable Energy Engineering at the University of Glasgow. Her technical background helps her show students how to place high school maths and physics topics in the larger context of science and engineering, making her lessons interesting and relatable to the real world.

With over 7 years of experience in teaching Maths, Physics, and test preparation in Hong Kong, lessons with Indrani provide a perfect balance of concept reinforcement and exam-taking strategies for IB, AP and A-Level curriculums. She makes the complex content digestible by providing links to day-to-day examples, which makes the subjects enjoyable to even the most anxious students.

In the summer before my junior year of high school, Indrani provided me with the foundations of Calculus in preparation for the accelerated course I would be taking during the school year. Then, next summer, she helped me once more with Multivariable Calculus, as well as Physics. Without a doubt, the vast amount of pre-learning she helped me accomplish gave me more confidence in those subjects that I otherwise would have struggled with during the school year; moreover, I was able to find genuine enjoyment in those subjects, largely thanks to Indrani’s enthusiastic and optimistic teaching style.
